This Privacy Policy describes how Agent Ready (the "App"), operated by Autonomous Tech, collects, uses, and protects information when you install and use the App on your Shopify store.

1. Who we are

Agent Ready is a Shopify app that scans your storefront to help you understand how it appears to AI shopping agents. The App is built and operated by Autonomous Tech. You can reach us at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

When you install Agent Ready, we receive and store only what Shopify provides during the OAuth installation flow:

• Your Shopify shop domain (e.g. your-store.myshopify.com).
• An OAuth access token issued by Shopify, used to authenticate the App back to your store during a session.
• Session metadata supplied by Shopify — shop ID, the installing user's ID, name, email, locale, and account/collaborator flags — used solely to maintain your authenticated session.

We do not access or store any of your customers' data. The App never requests customer scopes, and no customer personal information is collected or sent anywhere.

3. How we use information

We use the data above only to:

• Authenticate you when you open the App inside your Shopify admin.
• Send your storefront URL (e.g. https://your-store.myshopify.com) to the scanning service when you run a readiness scan.
• Respond to Shopify's mandatory privacy/compliance webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact).

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your data, and we do not use it to train machine-learning models.

4. Third-party services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Shopify — for authentication, admin UI hosting, and API access. Governed by Shopify's Privacy Policy.
• A third-party storefront-scanning service — when you run a scan, the App sends a POST request containing only your storefront URL (e.g. https://your-store.myshopify.com) to an external service that inspects publicly available signals at that URL (robots.txt, sitemaps, .well-known endpoints, response headers) and returns a readiness report. No merchant account information and no customer personal data is sent or stored by that service.

5. Data retention

We keep your OAuth session only as long as the App is installed on your store. When you uninstall, Shopify sends an app/uninstalled webhook and all session records for your shop are deleted automatically. If you request deletion through Shopify's shop/redact webhook, we honor that request within the timeframes Shopify requires.

6. Security

All traffic between your store, the App, and third-party services is transmitted over HTTPS. OAuth tokens are stored on our server and used only to authenticate back to Shopify on your behalf. All Shopify webhooks are HMAC-verified.

7. Your rights

• You can uninstall the App at any time from your Shopify admin, which automatically removes all session data we hold for your store.
• You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, or deletion of that data, by emailing [email protected]. Because the App does not touch customer data, requests received via Shopify's customers/data_request and customers/redact webhooks are acknowledged but contain no data to return or delete.

8. Cookies

The App uses only the authentication cookies required by Shopify to keep you logged in during a session. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated to merchants via the App's listing page or by email.
